JUST WANTED TO SHOW YOU GUYS WHAT I GOT FIXED UP FOR MY SWAP PARTNER OVER IN ITSY BITSY ON RAVELRY..
THE SWAP FOR JANUARY AND FEBRUARY WAS HEARTS AND DARTS BUT I MISSED OUT ON THAT SWAP..SO I WENT FOR THE MARCH SWAP WHICH WAS NECK WARMERS/COZY AND SOMETHING GREEN FOR ST.PATTYS DAY..
THIS IS THE COWL I KNITTED..THE PATTERN DIDN'T CALL FOR COLOR CHANGE BUT I WANTED TO SEE IF I COULD COME UP WITH MY OWN DEAL..I GUESS I SUCCEEDED..IT LOOKS OK..:):).
THE PATTERN IS CALLED FRESCO BASKET WHIP..VERY SIMPLE..I DIDN'T SLIP THE STITCHES AS IF TO KNIT THOUGH..I THOUGHT IT WOULD GIVE IT MORE TEXTURE IF I SLIPPED PURL WISE..
FROM THE TOP..
SHE ALSO GOT A CUTE SHAMROCK CLOTH..
NOW I'M GETTING READY FOR RAVELRY OLYMPICS..OUR GROUP IS CALLED THE ITSY BITSY CRUEL CURLERS..!!..DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I AM GOING TO DO THOUGH..I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT A FEW PATTERNS..I WENT AND BOUGHT SOME DPNS THE OTHER DAY..MIGHT TACKLE SOMETHING WITH THOSE..I ALSO PICKED OUT SOME YARN FOR WHAT I MIGHT DO..
HOPE EVERYONE IS STAYING WARM..NO SNOW FOR US IN AWHILE..HOPE IT STAYS THAT WAY..:):)..
I have been thinking about knitting a baby sweater for the Olymics . . since my knittingisn;t to swift it will be a challenge.
ReplyDeleteOr, crochet a toddler sweater using embroidery floss. I have seen it done and have wanted to try it but sometimes it seems daunting. But, for the Olympics, it would be fun. Now, to find a challenging sweater.
Oh, I like your blog. Very interesting. Was that your grandfather you wrote the poem for?
